GYRITHE LEMCHE

Gyrithe Lemche has worked as a photographer for a decade and does commercial work as well as art. From her studio in Copenhagen she collaborates with creative companies and magazines worldwide, to create both commercial and editorial work.

“I love to enter the playground of art photography. It is such a huge contrast to commercial photography, where the goal is to advertice products or services, and also to represential photography where specific objects or events are in focus. When doing my art pieces I can express my perceptions, my view on the world. ” Many of Gyrithes works deals with places and cultures, the city and the nature – not as opposites but as landmarks of her geographical locations. She has no fear of either beauty or ugliness, but cannot escape a certain attention to colour and detail.
